My research is in planetary science, and falls into two broad fields: Solar System minor bodies, and extra-Solar planets. My Ph.D thesis (Queen's University Belfast, 2006, Supervisor: Alan Fitzsimmons) was on the physical properties of cometary nuclei, and was based on time series observations of a number of Jupiter Family comets. A pdf of my thesis can be downloaded here. Observational studies of Solar System minor bodies, and specifically cometary nuclei, remains my main research area. My interest in exoplanets is primarily in the field of microlensing searches for small, cool planets, as part of the RoboNet collaboration. I am involved in the development of software to optimise the use of robotic telescopes for this planet search.
