GlObular clusTer homogeneous abundance measurements (GOTHAM) survey

Homogeneous metallicity scale of 51 Milky Way globular cluster metallicities, as well as [α/Fe] and [Mg/Fe]. This set of clusters is representative of the Milky Way system in terms of metallicity, mass, reddening, and distribution within the Galaxy. We found metallicities from FORS2 close to those from UVES spectra within 0.08 dex. Chemical enrichment of our Galaxy seems to be imprinted differently in globular clusters and field stars.

VIsible photometric survey on Soar star Clusters from tApii Coxi HuguA (VISCACHA) survey

Ages, metallicities, distances, and reddening for stellar clusters in the Magellanic Clouds using homogeneous observations and analysis. These objects are fossiles of their host galaxies telling their evolution history. In particular we have disentangled the complex structure of the Small Magellanic Cloud based on our results leading to a better understanding of the tidal interaction with the neighbour galaxies.

VISTA Variables in the Via Lactea (VVV) survey


Imaging survey of the bulge and part of the disc of the Milky Way in the infrared bands Z,Y,J,H,Ks. Observations were done from 2009 to 2015 and more than 100 papers are already published. Among the most important topics are: RR Lyrae in globular clusters, 3D geometry of the Galacitc bulge, discovery of new objects only possible by infrared surveys, etc.
