Name
Associate Astronomer, Planetary Sciences
European Southern Observatory

I am a planetary astronomer at the European Southern Observatory. I live in Chile, sharing my time between the Very Large Telescope Observatory (VLT), located in the Atacama desert, and my office in Santiago, where I dedicate my time to research. My work consists in studying the surface composition of the small bodies of our solar system (planetary satellites and rings, asteroids, comets), as well as searching for and characterizing companions to young nearby stars, using high-angular resolution imaging techniques and near-infrared spectroscopy.

I am also the Head of the Science Operations Department for the VLT.
