The experimental research  and instrumental developments I carried out  during  my  Phd and  my  young  researcher's  career  (2001- 2008)  represent  a considerable  amount  of  work  that  can not  be  publication  material.   Building innovative experiments  from scratch with  limited manpower is interesting  but risky because time consuming  and not always followed by acceptable  results. It helped me developing  many  different  skills  from  optical  designing,  electronic  trouble shooting, to  data processing and physically  interpreting of each  set of results and parameters. At the  upstream of big international consortia  building bigger, more robust  instruments, this type of experimental  work provides  great inputs in the long  run..
